This SmartPhone app is a continuation of my “notes app” series. I downloaded Day One when it was suggested as an App of the Week from the the App Store. Now it’s a cost, but it does some great things that might be of interest…
April 8th – Day One
Day One is more a dairy based notes app that you can add photos with text you record your events. It includes a GPS feature which also loads the weather and you can organize with labels.
I’ve used this on vacations to mark the important events (see below) with photos and location, but you can certainly use this in a classroom to mark student growth through out the year (and you might not need GPS or Weather info…) – otherwise you can use this app on field trips or other adventures.
The cloud sync is great when you want the bigger view on the Mac (Apple only) to organize your year. If you commit to this, you’ll really enjoy the ease and be able to see the progress that you’ve made throughout the year. I suggest you download and do like I did, document a vacation (with little to no pressure) to learn the app and employ in your classroom the next year!
